Hi, I’m Karol King. I’m a teacher, storyteller, coffee lover, and firm believer that curiosity is one of the greatest gifts we can give ourselves.
I was born in Xenia, Ohio, and for the first 36 years of my life, I lived inside a very strict religious community. When I left, the world opened up in ways I could never have imagined. That journey took me from being a minister’s wife and missionary in Guatemala to earning two graduate degrees from Xavier University and spending fourteen years teaching adults who were ready to see life through a different perspective.
Sometimes the greatest lessons we teach are the ones we’ve lived. So Much More isn’t just a book about education. It’s a true-life journey of leaving behind a closed world, finding your own voice, and then helping others find theirs.
Inside, you’ll find stories of my years as an educator, moments of unexpected grace between people with very different beliefs, and the freedom that comes from learning to ask hard questions.
This isn’t just my story. It’s an invitation for you to explore yours.

So Much More
Very interesting and well written. The author has an enlightening story to tell about how living in "a cult" shaped her life and beliefs and how she over came the confines of that life.
So Much More
Karol King has created a town I never want to leave. The names made me laugh and the kindness made me smile.
Town of Tiny Hope
Reading Town of Tiny Hope felt like stepping into a cozy storybook where even the smallest acts of kindness have an impact on the whole community.
Town of Tiny Hope
About the Book
Welcome to Tiny Hope, a riverside village where even the smallest things can make the biggest difference.
These are gentle, playful stories about quirky characters with names you won’t forget: Mrs. Bumblebee Purple Blue Pot, Mr. Testy Temper Hot Rod Titmouse, and Pickle Partner Pondering Porpoise. Here, kindness is a superpower, and joy has a way of showing up in unexpected places.
Whether you’re young or just young at heart, Town of Tiny Hope is a reminder that life’s magic often lives in the small moments between friends and neighbors.
Not directly. So Much More is my real-life story, while Town of Tiny Hope is pure imagination. But they share a common theme: the beauty of connection.
Both books are available online on Amazon. Links are right here on the website.
Anyone who loves heartfelt storytelling. Whether you’re reflecting on your own life journey or just want to smile at the adventures of a singing porpoise.
Absolutely! I’m always writing. Sometimes memoir, sometimes fiction, and I already have a few ideas for my next projects.

Karol was my teacher many years ago and I thoroughly enjoyed reading about her childhood and growing up years. She used to read to us in class and I could hear her voice clearly as I read it. The title doesn't quite fit the story, but for me it was a very enjoyable read.
